easy breakfast idea: cheddar & jalapeno Costco bagel + smoked salmon + cream cheese + thinly sliced red onion + crunchy lettuce
this week, I made my own pumpkin spice syrup from a real pumpkin š (it was $2 or $5 at Parkdale Market). I added maple syrup, honey, pumpkin spice blend (nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger cloves), and some pea protein milk for creaminess. itās good both in coffee and as baby food lol
TV: Nobody Wants This lived up to the hype: hot rabbi (Adam Brody) dates a sex podcaster (Kristen Bell). Inspired by the true story of the showās creator, Erin Foster, who does have a podcast with her sister. Iāve seen some comments calling the portrayal of Jewish women in the show āantisemitic.ā I donāt actually agree with that at all, especially when there are truly antisemitic things to worry about. Yes, Soviet families really are that intense. And how do you think a Muslim mother wouldāve reacted if her (only) son, an imam, brought home a white woman? Organized religion of any kind can be exclusive. Especially, if heās a rabbiā¦ Obviously, her not being Jewish is a point. And all of the women in question were friends with the dudeās exā¦ Itās less about being Jewish and more about human nature lol. I thought it was actually a very cute show that shows Judaism and its rituals in a more modern light than traditional Orthodox.
10/7: speaking of the Jews, tomorrow marks one year since the horrific premeditated terror attack by Hamas on Israel. It was the biggest killing of Jews since the Holocaust. Around 100 hostages still remain in captivity today. They are either in ācivilianā homes or in tunnels under Gaza. The Red Cross has not visited them once. We donāt know if they are dead or alive. Itās heartbreaking. I attended a meditation & yoga practice in their honour today. They are in my thoughts.
How do you rescue them while fighting a multi-front war with Iran and its proxy groups, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthis in Yemen, and Hamas in Gaza? Iranās brazen attack this week constituted 180+ ballistic missiles, the largest assault of this kind against a country in world history. Any condemnations?
Iranās extremist regime must go. For the sake of Persians, Lebanese, Palestinians, Israelis. You know who was the only person that died from Iranās attack? A Palestinian Arab. Or when Hezbollah killed those 12 Arab Druze kids. They donāt care who dies to accomplish their mission: no Israel on the land. Beyond geopolitics, there is one simple truthā¦ Organized & recognized terrorist regimes must be dismantled. Read more here.
